Our School

About Us

This is Castlecuffe’s school crest. It was designed by a past pupil Thomas Comerford. The crest has our school colours of red and green and also has pictures of hurleys and a football because of the strong tradition of games in our school.

Our school was built in 1953. We have 3 class teachers, 2 special education teachers and 77 pupils. We have 3 classrooms in the school. Mrs. Sheerin teaches Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 6 of 1st class in one room. Miss O'Brien teaches 2nd and 3rd classes and the other half of 1st class. Her room was the original two classrooms of the old school. Miss Carton teaches 4th, 5th and 6th Class. Mrs Slevin is our deputy principal and Mrs Dunne is the principal and they are also the special education teachers this year. Mrs McDonald is our SNA and Mrs Downey is our part-time secretary.

Look at the map on the left to find us. This map was taken from our old website and was drawn by Tom, a past-pupil of the school.
