The Ability Rap
You could have a disability
That stops your ability
to walk, to talk,
to run, to have fun.
You could have a disability
That stops your ability
to drive, to jive,
to catch, to snatch.
You could have a disability
That stops your ability
to think, to wink
and it makes you think why?
You could have a disability
That stops your ability
To ride a bike or slide on the snow
To walk or run fast or slow
We all have the ability
Despite disability
To smile, to laugh, to play, to strive,
To have some fun and live our lives.

We entered a competition called Rhyming and Rapping; I entered a rap called The Ability Rap. I won the county prize but I did not win the overall prize. It took a lot of work and it took a while for us to get it perfect. I would have liked to have won the overall prize. There were 4 raps written in the school - one by Chris McCann, one by Darren Campbell , one by Mollie Senior and one by me. My teacher Ms Dunne told me about the competition. Ms picked my rap because it was short and snappy and easy to rap. We had to go to Dublin to collect the prize. We had to wake up early and collect Brian Sheerin and Miss. I got 200 Euro and I had to share the money with the other 3 and I got 50 euro and so did the others. Castleconnell from Limerick won the overall prize and they had to perform their rap on the day.
