School Play

This year's Christmas play was yet another great success, continuing the tradition which was initiated many years ago by Mrs. Butterfield. Back then all the action took place in her small classroom. Now the community centre is the venue but the quality has remained the same.

Castlecuffe Christmas Play 2007
On Friday 14.12.2007, we had our school play. It was at the Community Centre. The play was at 7.30 but the actors and actresses had to go in at 7 o clock. At the play there were dances, raps and plays. Our concert items were; the Nativity play performed by Mrs Butterfield's room, the 'Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe' and Rhymes by Miss Digan's classroom, singing and dancing from Mrs. Butterfield's room, the 7 Cascadas (girls from Mrs. Dunne's room). The Ability Rap was performed by the boys from Mrs Dunne's room. Mrs Butterfield's room performed 'Santa Goes to the Carribbean'. Last but not least, 'Killinascully's New TV' was performed by Mrs Dunne's room. The play was very special because we wrote it ourselves.

After the play there was a raffle. The parents' association organised tea for the adults and the children had a bag of crisps and a drink. The play ended around 10 o'clock. It was a brilliant night.
